The Brookfield CD 152 and the two lightning rod insulators were found at an antique shoppe. Due to the desaster area that resulted from hurricane Irene I was detored through the village of Hunter NY (Hunter Mountain) where the shop is located. Been there before with no results. Wouldn't have had any yesterday either if the Brookie didn't have a milk swirl crossing through the dome. Both the lighting rod insulators look the same at a glance but the tops are different. Ones flat and the other is rounded. Don't know much about these so if anyone knows where I can find reference materials on them please email me with that info. Thanks.

The beautiful darker colored purple CD 161 California on the right came from an old time collector who has a booth at the weekly flea market I travel about 35 miles to each week. He talks about selling me his whole collection but I'm not sure I would being his prices even for damaged insulators are pretty high at this flea market. With this insulator I did manage to talk him down slightly but I still paid more then what I believe the insulator is worth due to a rather large flat flake chip at the base of the the dome on the rear side. I like the guy but he doesn't believe there is no use in having a price guide. I wonder why he thinks that way??
