Old PG&E Pole With Woodpecker Damage

The woodpecker holes on this old PG&E pole in the land of Pigs, Goats & Elephants. This pic was taken in 2005. When we were just a few days ago the holes had been filled with something by PG&E. But I got news for them! While sitting on our friend's front porch, having morning coffee, I heard woodpeckers working around that pole. When I went over to look, they had been working on the other side! Note the two old 'grasshopper' style spring link cutouts. Too bad those birds couldn't get between them and ground. A good shot of PG&E 12,000 volts is just what they should have.
