Here he is, the man who took all the " heat " about Bev's chili .. Gil is a good friend, a good sport, and has once again proved he can handle the heat, in more ways than one. It was a very hot weekend for an insulator show, and unfortunately our "mature" trees are about 30 years short of that designation. Gil found himself a shady corner by one of my display racks, and maintained a vigil on the Insulator Field through the hottest parts of the day. He was only outdone by Larry the Lineman who is a permanent resident in the field.

Gil brought an interesting variety of glass and porcelain. We did a couple of small deals, he gave me 2 suspension disks, which I in turn then gave to a young couple who are just getting started in the hobby. They were very happy.

Gil, thank you for bringing your wife Sally to the show. It was very nice meeting her. Thank you for your very nice comments about the Insulator Ranch, and the Merritt Show. They were greatly appreciated.

And just so you know, I tried some of your "HOT sauce" in the chili. Can you bring another bottle next year???
