I am always in awe of the fabulous French and other foreign insulators brought to the Merritt Show by the Bergmans, but this year, I was blown away by the 2 massive 58 lb glass monsters on their display table.. Seriously, look at the size of those pieces. To put things in perhaps a better perspective, the smaller units in front are 8 inches across at the base.

On their own, Lis and Jim have advanced the collection and knowledge of French insulators by leaps and bounds. If not for their efforts, much of what we know today about the history of French Insulator manufacturing would yet to be discovered, and might still be years away in the discovery. Definitely pioneers in the search for French insulators.
