The heat in Merritt this year was oppressive, so Lis and Jim Bergman of Bellingham Wa. brought along a pop up awning to keep them in the shade. It seems though that Jim was moving too slowly for Elisabeth, and I heard her mention that her end was getting heavy, and Jim had better get a move on. Fortunately Jim got his end of the awning organized. A short while later the tables set up, and some wonderful foreign insulators were out on display. Can you say +37 degrees celsius or 96 F at the peak of the heat. Where are those cooling rain showers when you need them?
