Dave Brown of California, Bill Gurney of Kamloops and Aidan Morgan from Kelowna, B.C.

Dave Brown flew into Vancouver, then drove up to Merritt. His first trip to the Ranch, but hopefully not his last. Bill Gurney [red cap] and Aidan Morgan knew each other from their "old days" as linemen, and I heard them from time to time discussing various aspects of the industry as it applied back then.

Dave had a good time wandering about the Insulator Field, and I saw him checking out numerous insulators and talking with lots of local collectors. Dave is also an avid fisherman, and left late Saturday afternoon to try out some local streams. How'd you do Dave.?

Bill Gurney had 2 tables piled high with a Polar Bear skin, many very old canning jars [these drew big attention], some insulator treasures opened to sunlight for the first time in 15 years, drawings and sketches of old steam locomotives and trains. Bill had a constant line up of people at his tables, and told me that he will be back next year.

Aidan is a friend of many years and a steady supporter of the Merritt shows, along with his wife Brenda. Shortly after this picture, Aidan scooped a collection of old telephones. More on that later.
