Early Saturday morning Barrett Nicpon and myself set off for the Christie Antique show that is held twice a year near Dundas, Ontario. It is Canadas biggest antique show, and is held rain or shine(luckily it was shine yesterday) The show has over 300 dealers there, and you can find anything antique that you can think of. Everything from furniture worth thousands, right down to trinkets that sell for a buck or two. Now Barrett and I have always heard stories about good stuff being found at Christie in the past, but had never experienced it(we had only gone one other time) We had split up to cover more of the field, and actually met up at one table which just happened to have some insulators, the ones seen in the picture. The 6 insulators in the picture were a surprise to find. There were 4 MLOD No Embossing Canada CD 102s, and one happened to be a Round base varient, which are TOUGH to find, We also found a light cornflower blue Diamond 102, and a Teal blue Diamond 102, which is still dirty. The insulators had no prices, so we asked the vendor the price of the insulators "uhhh, 5 bucks a piece is good" I didn't even barter with the women. I paid her the money, and wrapped up the jewels! |
