Metro North SW CT Amtrak Electrified RR Line

Old two and smaller-size three-piece multiparts grace this line all of the way from New Haven, CT to NYC. The section shown was built around 1908 and provides vital transit service along the northeast corridor.

Tens of thousands of ten-inch-diameter suspension insulators mounted in virtually every direction and configuration along this route can also be seen. As a big plus, there is plenty of old artictecture remaining in service such as this section of main line. Some of this stuff is readily visible along I-95. Other sections are set-back however nearly every mile of this has been canvassed by good friend Kathleen McLaughlin in hard-to-get-to locations.
