Photo taken 2011 at the PP&L Link River hydro facility in Klamath falls, Oregon. This is an approximate 150 MW small hydro plant constructed approximately 1920 and this is the original bus bar works. Colored porcelain on bus bar insulators in my experience is rare. This is more like an early Victor color as opposed to the later JD blues/ grays. This facility is no longer cost effective to re license and operate and is scheduled for decommissioning thanks to the FEDS. Now we can all pay more $$$ for green useless windmills and solar power that costs twice as much and is unreliable as ^#@* .
