Damariscotta, ME: Lake Pemaquid Camping distribution

The road in to Lake Pemaquid Camping near Damariscotta, Maine, features a curving roadway, and a primary distribution circuit that zig-zags across the road at nearly every pole. I think that this is a really good idea. It keeps the majority of the cable above the road, minimizing the amount of tree trimming needed.

Also, the hot conductor is below the static wire, which is used like a messenger to support it. Every few yards there is a spacer which serves to separate the static wire from the hot wire.

This picture shows the static wire on top, and the hot conductor below it. You can also see the change in direction caused by the zig-zag across the road. See the next picture for details.
