On Saturday August 20 I went across the river to visit some antique shops over in Hudson, NY. While in one of theses shops I over heard a couple ladies talking about bottles. Politely I asked them were they talking about old bottles and what location they may have been talking about if so, I also asked if they seen any glass wire insulators there. They replied yes to both my bottle and insulator question and told me the place was in Millbrook, NY. The following day August 21 I found my way to the Glass Store. Never seen so much old glass in my life. When speaking to the owneres helper I discovered the owner was at a bottle show being held over in Poghkeepsie at the Elks Club. That is were I found the light Purple Brookfield Pony pictured on the right. It used to belong top Dave Cella another Icon member that doesn't live that very far away from myself. We talked for some time and he said that the show wasn't announced at Icon. The Brookfield Fat Boy pony on the left has a nice lump of snotty milk in the front of the dome. Purchased it from another antique barn located in Millbrook. It also has some great ghost embossing. I will be posting another pic of the insulators I purchased at the Glass Store. They are not much but I hate leaving empty handed being I travaled a good distance. To see the other insulators I arrived home with on this chase [id=318790157] |
