This is one of only five decent specimens of this insulator known to exist . It took me a decade to get an upgrade so I am selling my old collection specimen. This one displays mint from the marked side. About 3/4 of the marking stamp is clear and readable . . The top crown area is totally mint and the glaze is clean and shiny with no big scuffs. The damage is confined to the back side opposite the marking where a part of the outer skirt is glued in and some filler was used to make up the small shattered pieces. There are also three thin flat glaze chips on the center skirt and one little nick on the bottom surface edge of the outer skirt. This is one of those extremely rare Fred M. Locke pieces that you are unlikely to see again for sale . It may have been experimental in nature as all of them seem to have been found at the Victor factory I date it's production to 1902 .... None have been ever been found on lines. . Please [id=318700441] for more info and a photo of the damaged side.
