Check out this unlisted Patent Dec 19 1871 CD 134 in STRAW....... yes straw, smoothbase! I have it sitting next to a SDP straw one for comparison. It may not be as straw........... but straw nonetheless. This is not a baked-job either. I've already counted that possibility out. I'll post some more pics of it in the Hunts and Finds folder.
