Here we see some really cool deadends from yesteryears along with "baton" like long porcelain tubes mounted above each conductor on the right (sticking up) allegedly for lightning protection. When is the last time you ever saw one of those? In addition, the overall old-school methodology with corona-rings, line balancers as well as the primitive tower, itself, are representative of pioneer high-voltage transmission line construction.
