My son and I are now well into our fourth year of insulator hunting in southwest Ohio. Our goal is to one day find a complete threadless insulator in the wild. This photo shows the results of our hunting so far. We have found pieces of six different threadless insulators along public rail-trails in our local area. Top row, from left to right, is a CD 729.6 and two different pieces of CD 731s. Bottom row contains three different pieces of Wade insulators, two of which are smooth sided and the rightmost one of the group is a dot-dash style. We will continue the hunt, as our success so far has taught us that there is much to find out there. Good hunting, everyone! |
