A PELCO (Patchogue Electric Light Company) sub stepping 23kv down to 2400v. to run the refrigeration equipment at the duck farm in Eastport, Long Island, NY. Got taken down when Long Island Lighting Co. bought out PELCO. Clear Pyrex insulators and old GE transformers were used. Oil filled potheads were used on the 2400v. side. Photographed 1965. |
