This is Eva Loranger. Eva is originally from Prague, and Eva is a fantastic cook. Eva collects cooking gadgets and kitchen paraphenalia, and has amassed an interesting collection of "Kitchen Thingies".

The story is that when Eva married Ray 43 years ago, he was just a skinny little guy, but in the years since, Eva has managed to put some meat on his bones, and has fattened him up a little bit.

Eva does all the cooking at the Footloose Caboose Lodge, and based on the comments of everyone present at the show, the food was "to die for" If you are on a diet, stay away from Eva's cooking, it is that good. The Lodge offers a wonderful and varied food menu and a very nice wine list. And everything is prepared by Eva, and served in an authenticly restored air conditioned Canadian Pacific Railroad Dining Car.

While I was visiting the Lodge and attending the Insulator Show, there were numerous local folks stopping in for one of Eva's "Home Cooked" meals, and it seemed that Eva's Dining Car was always busy. Many of these folks also wandered around to check out the "Insulator Collectors" tables and ask questions about the hobby.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Footloose Caboose, and the chance to visit with Eva on her home turf. She has a wicked sense of humour, and it is a lot of fun to hear her telling of Ray's collecting escapades. it seems there are lots of stories, each funnier than the last.

Eva, Thanks for a great time and for the wonderful food, and I'm already looking forward to your next July 2012 Footloose Caboose Insulator Show. Y'all should plan to join us in 2012. You'll enjoy the experience.
