Dated Suspension Insulator

I also found this insulator at a flea market. I found it quite interesting to see a PAT SEPT 15 14 embossed on the side. Yes, I said embossed, the writing is raised lettering not just ink under the glaze. Does anyone have any info on this insulator? Thanks
