Los Angeles 1979, Twin Multipart Subtransmission Lines

These big, bad-boy but highly impressive three-piece porcelain insulators lined both sides of this street (see location below) likely at 69kv. In addition there is some really neat old-school 3-phase 4kv architecture notably along the right, all of which was owned by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP). Photograph taken along South Alameda near the intersection of Olympic Boulevard which is in an industrial section of the city.
