OCSR steam engine No. 25, in May, 2011, sitting in the former blimp hangar in Tillamook, OR., is being readied for service on the beachside tour trains operated by the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad. The tour trains presently operate from Garibaldi to Rockaway Beach but eventually will be running on a longer route from Tillamook to Wheeler, OR. They are very popular and have made an astounding increase in tourism in the area. I hope to have my camera ready the first day it chugs by my house! To see engine 25 under power on it's former railroad in California, [id=312988541] UPDATE ! ! This engine made it's first run in tour train service to the fireworks display in Rockaway July 4th 2011. It was awesome !
