The 41.6kV pole in front is old enough it was likely originally erected as part of the 13.2kV transmission system used by the long-gone Dakota Light & Power Company. There was once several miles of short poles like this one, but the bulk of them have recently been replaced with new armless 41.6kV poles as in the background. There was at least one pole along this stretch that had a couple CD 164s on the 2400V arm, but it seems to have been one of the poles that got replaced. So it goes! |
