Every now and then if you're in an area where the utility has an ongoing program to upgrade the distribution system voltage, you may come across an odd single-arm break like this where the company chose a 'stopping point' for the rebuild. Some companies will dead-end two consecutive spans of a line for better isolation where there is a large voltage difference between the old and rebuilt distribution circuits. In this case, both sides of the circuit got rebuilt and the circuit was made whole once more by way of the added cutouts. NDLineGeek |
