Big multiparts on top with count-em...two... 3-phase transformer banks on this surely-weighted and tall utility pole. In addition, the same for the one in the background too!

ADDED NOTE: Does anybody know if Seattle was served by two competing electric providers at one time? All of the "stuff" on the poles as shown here seem to indicate so, maybe?

My impression has been that Seattle City Light has been the sole electricity provider in that city since day one.

Public Power in the United States always has won out when it came to customers enjoying lower rates (than neighboring privately-owned utilities) because their non-for-profit systems are owned and managed by the people in the communities they serve. In addition, local ownership often has resulted in more timely service than some of the corporate giants in the industry.

At any rate, I will update the response to my question above on this page.
