A nice example of what early 20th electric distribution lines looked like. The transformer probably had a 1,100 or 2,200 volt primary serving 110 volts on its secondary for consumers in this vicinity. An incandescent span wire street light fixture with about four lamps in it illuminates the center of this intersection.
