24,000 Volt Substation

This PGE 24,000 volt substation was kinda nearby the line pole in the previous picture. Note the triple JD 'Bronco" suspension insulators used to dead end the wires. And the sub is sporting the famous Portland General Electric "bulls-eye" logo on a porcelained metal sign, now highly collectible! That logo is gone, the substation is gone or highly re-modeled since the transformers are already gone, the 24,000 volt lines are gone. What's wrong here? Why can't people leave things alone? If it works, don't fix it ! Or is it just me? Progress, Bah!
