My wife and I took a road trip today along a section of the Illinois Central R.R. that a local gravel road hugged beside it with old poles between. We found one pole had fallen over and she wanted me to stop to investigate. Besides a couple of Hemingray Blue 42's and these small screw in steel hooks with white porcelain open circles is what she came back to the car with. She said they were screwed in along the bottom of the rails on the pole. After doing some research on this rail line, it is now the Canadian National R.R. Co.
