NO wild hunting today, the weather's cold, wet and just all round' LOUSY here! However, I receive a message from an old friend that he's been cleaning out the barn on his ol' family homestead and has a small box of "green insulators" and "old bottles" that I might like to see. Having nothing else to do, my wife and I take a short drive for a long overdue visit with our friend of over twenty years.

"Steve" had a tidy box of old Coke bottles and old flasks awaiting us and the seven insulators in these three photos.

Probably the BEST of today's insulators were these two. A pair of CD 138's with different size base embossing. The crown's both read the same, with the 1870 patent date.

We had a great afternoon, sitting round' and shooting the "stuff" with Steve. The coversation deviated so many times I don't wish to count the numerous subjects we touched upon (just like the old dayz). All the glass we brought home was priceless and CHEEP! Steve WILL trade for Studebaker parts and collectables, but I had to part with a sawbuck instead.
