Marked Fred M.Locke M-2332, Marking 6-1 . The top has some scuffing and the glaze weld joint between the top umbrella and collar has been repaired .There is rim chipping and glaze flaking around about 50-60% of the umbrella rim edge that has been repaired and painted. The insulator displays beautifully! The bottom skirt is dead mint! . The top skirt was found septate from the base and was never used in service and had no cement or inner skirt.. This is the first M-2332 openly offered for sale since an unmarked one appeared on eBay in 1999. From memory, I can account for only six marked M-2332 specimens including this one that have surfaced since the 1960's . In my opinion this is one of the most interesting Fred Locke multipart designs! This insulator has a tremendous history as the first insulator used on a number of early Interurban electric railways in the Midwest.. This particular marking and mold variant was produced in 1902 and early 1903 only. Please contact or call me for more details or additional photos .
