This last shot is just a half-block farther down Lexington. Note the the double-circuit of M-3172's has been joined by a 4kv line. At one time, the distribution sub was on the next block, supplying several of these 4kv circuits. In fact, the old 'grasshopper" switch in this photo, is likely a relic from those days. Now, however, the lines can be seen going underground, at the end of the block, and beyond that, is the parking structure for the BART station.

Finally, I would like to thank Mile Parker, for all of his help in analyzing these shots. Though these shots were all taken by me, back in 1992, this line can still be found in service, today.
