This old pole has been heavily re-modeled but still stands on the main street of Fecklersburg, MR. This line was installed many years ago and was built to standard specifcations of the Fecklersburg Light Power Water Telephone Gas Railway & Sanitary Service Co. (FLPWTGRy.&SS Co.) This company was controlled by a large holding company, The Multiple Utilities Service Engineering Management Investment & Securities Corp., (TMUSEMI&S Corp.) organized in Dimbat, Delaware in 1919. In 1935, resulting from the Public Utility Holding Company Act (PUHCA), by the U.S. Government, TMUSEMI&S and FLPWTGRy.&SS Companies were called on the carpet of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and accused of monopolism in regard to the Fecklersburg utility. Another charge was brought to FLPWTGRy&SS by the citizens of Fecklersburg, with complaints asking that the company shorten their name. It seems that they never had enough space on checks and envelopes to write the name when paying the bills!

The name was then changed to Fecklersburg Utilities with the cursive initials (F.U.) and today now operates as the Communistic sounding Fecklersburg Peoples Utilities, with the odiferous initials (F.P.U.) The company is now a division of Diversisis Industries LLC, (DILLC), a corporation having several small utility properties, is engaged in the manufacturing of ping pong balls and styrofoam peanuts, and operates a nationwide mobile baby diaper service.
