CD 133.4 [030] embossed on the front crown PATENT / DEC. 19. 1871 with a 3 on the rear crown and a backwards C on the rear skirt. This character piece had a large void when it was created. It has just 2 rotations of threads in the front below the wire groove and then goes threadless until almost the very top where another rotation of threads appear. There is threading on about 75% of the backside but from the mold lines forward the appearance is just about threadless. There are some nice small sesame seed bubbles throughout to boot. Shiny happy glass. Extremely nice for its age and crudeness. No real damage to report just little tiny flakelettes along the mold lines on the base which are fairly typical for these early pieces.
