Since Dad and I constructed an insulator picker pole I've been jonesing to try it out. However January in Pennsylvania yields very little opportunity, except for those who are determined (or DUMB) enough to stray to yonder rail grade through leagues of snow. A short drive to an ex-B&O line yielded a nice variety of early threaded glass and this is one of my better finds. This Brookfield "B" CD 145 ( "1 X" shop number) caught my eye and my new picker went to work. Truth be told, I thought it was a Hemi-19 because of those "teeth"! When I brought it back to Mother Earth I was pleasantly surprised.
