This is an old abandoned power line in rural South Carolina. I find it very odd due to the short poles and the enormous amount of space between the crossarms. It almost looks like some sort of a "farmer job". One end of the line terminates at a lake, however, there is evidence of a power line on the other side of the lake, therefore I believe that there are remains of the line on the lake bottom, where the poles once stood before the area was flooded by the US Army Corps of Engineers. I am not sure where the other end is, as it eventually runs next to a dirt driveway and behind houses, where I have no desire to follow it. Most poles have two crossarms, while others have one crossarm with all three insulators on it. I have removed an insulator from this line, and my brother has also. I intend to return sometime to get more insulators. The insulators on this line consist of M-2617C's, M-2250B's, and I have also seen one large hi-top unipart. This power line runs for about a mile, at least. At one point, it seems as though there was more of it.
