On the left is a CD 151 [070] SB H.G. CO. / PETTICOAT in an early H.G. Co. version of Hemingray Blue. I think I have seen more in Cornflower Blue than I have in Hemingray Blue like this one. This is a stand out color for this time period of production in this style. Has a nice waterfall of milk that goes from the dome top down through the embossing to the base of the skirt... ideally placed through the embossing. I don't photograph milk on a black background but that method of display would really show off the milk. A few bubbles scattered throughout. A few white pieces of fire brick as well. There is a clean 1/2 inch chip on the upper wire groove just at and behind the mold line so it really does not show head on. Excellent base with no chips or flakes. Contrasts dramatically to the Cornflower color. Price guide suggests a price range of $150.00 - $175.00. - SOLD!

On the right is CD 145 [130] Boldly embossed H.G. CO. / I on the front and PETTICOAT on the back. My personal opinion is that the shop letter "I" molds are the most attractive pieces because the embossings I have seen are usually bold and most often these are filled with microbubbles giving them added character. There are 2 minor things that keep this beautiful bubbly amber insulator from being a mint piece. #1) There is a very small nibble out of the top of the sharp wire groove on the PETTICOAT side. Its before the P and near the mold line. #2) There is a slightly smaller than a dime sized circular divot on the top of the dome aligned with the mold line. Its shallow and pretty clean and has never bothered me. I find base chips near the embossing much more distracting. I have more pictures on request. The picture is showing too much orange. Its really closer to a nice honey amber.

$126.66 + shipping for the 151 (SOLD) and $826.66 + shipping for the 145. First email as always!
