CD 736.7 No Embossing in dark emerald green with milk swirls. It was found in a river in Rhode Island by a bottle digger about six months ago. Very few of these pieces are around because they were only used on one rail line through RI and CT where the line crossed rivers. The piece remains the same as it was when it was pulled out of the river. The surface is dirty and shows wear, but a tumbling should make it look perfect. It was definately in the river for a long time. I wanted to retain its original appearance, so I did not have it tumbled myself. It does have some damage, but displays almost perfect from one side. There are no repairs of any kind. Here is a description of the damage. Series of three super thin 3/8 of an inch flakes on the base, two super thin 3/4 of an inch base flakes, 2 1/2 inch base chip, slight about of flaking on inside base edge, 2 inch tall by 1 1/4 inch wide flake on outer skirt, small 1/2 inch flake on outside edge of the base, pencil eraser sized surface bruise on outer base edge, pinhead dings and nicks along wire groove, 1/4 inch wire groove ding causes a super thin 1/2 inch flake to the left of it and a 1/4 of an inch flake below it on the upper wire groove, pinhead dings and nicks on the dome, and a super thin 1/2 inch tall by 3/8 of an inch wide flake on the crown. There is a lot of milk just above the base chip in the middle of the skirt. $2500 firm. I'll cover the shipping and insurance. Possibly open to a part cash part insulator trade. Please ask for more pictures if you are interested. I would be happy to send them to you. |
