This is a second marking for the Kretzer "Saddle Type" LRI. Notice this one is embossed: PATENT APPLIED FOR. Indicating this one was made prior to the May 13, 1902 date the patent was granted. There is a third embossing variation: PATENT MAY 13, 1902 on the base, and KRETZER BRAND on the top. All three are very neat pieces. Enjoy!
