This is the broken suspension insulator. As you can see, the only thing keeping the line up is the jumper connection. After posting this on Facebook, a few of my linemen friends commented that the line could have been sagged too tight. Then again something could have chipped the insulator, causing it to fail. At any rate, I'll call the utility co. and report it. Maybe I can get some goodies!!! :)
