All the open wire in San Luis Obispo County is now history...I was able to pick many of these California CD 162's in various shades of purple, several CD 161's in smoke, many nice CD 162 Stars with a lot of junk and bubbles, and some nice CD 162 NEGM Co. in light to dark greens. This line went right by my house and I asked the demolition contractor if I could have some of the glass, no problem just stay out of the way. The contractor indicated that "ALL" Union Pacific right of way west of the Mississippi is having the open wire removed. You wouldnt believe how much glass was ruined during demolition of the lines.
