A closer look at one of the old Central Lincoln P.U.D double circuit poles. This one is in the big? town of Cushman, OR. (2 buildings on the river, both boat related). On this double circuit style of construction, each 3 wire, 3 phase circuit runs side by side as a triangle formation with 2 of the wires on the top crossarm and the third wire is below it on the bottom crossarm. The transformer is taking 7200 volts from a single wire of the 12,500 volt circuit and stepping the voltage down to 120/240 house current. The insulators on the high voltage are a mix of U-802 HiTops and U-875A 2 skirters. Rare to find a spool rack service drop still using 3 wires! Note the white spool marking the neutral wire. Also that guy wire with the johnny ball above the can is way too slack!
