Up for sale is a great pair of iron single-cob side pins, with 1" lead-cast cobs. These were used as later line supplements in London, ON where an additional wire had to be added beneath or above existing 3 or 4-wire circuits. Generally these date from the 1910-1940 time frame, depending on the style. Two different styles are shown here, for some interesting variation in displayability! The earlier piece is the rivited example on the right with a two-holed "arm" protruding from the top, and is marked "CLM" for the "Canadian Line Materials" Co. The flared example one the right is probably from the 1930s or so and is unmarked. Because of their limited use, these pieces are actually quite difficult to turn up here in London, especially in comparison to the more common 3 and 4-cob pins installed for first generation circuits. Let's try $15.00 U.S. plus shipping to get this pair of nifty-looking pins to a new home. I accept PayPal, or any kind of personal or cashier's cheque, or money orders. Please feel free to take a look through my other insulators under the "For sale (not sold)" directory, and combine items to save on shipping. I always package well, and have never had an insulator (or pin!) arrive broken. All the best! |
