Even with the damage, the color of this insulator is special. I would say it is a light green but there is a tinge of gray in the glass too. This insulator was previously repaired but the yellowed resin looked so bad I took the time to remove all of it. From the top, the damage is as follows: on the ears there are three pinpricks of glass missing and between the ears of the top wire groove there is a 1" chip. The base is the most heavily damaged with a 1 ½" x ¾" under "N.Y." The inner skirt has a ½" no glass missing chip on one side and the other side has a couple of shallow chips, one being ¼" and the other being almost 1" wide. There is some character to the glass with several elongated bubbles and some annealing lines too. This old timer would be a very interesting specimen for the power, color, or Locke collector and I am sure it could be repaired and look better than it did when I got it. Ask for more particular details or for detailed photos of the damage. Light green for the [020] embossing is $100-125. I am asking $50 plus shipping for this. Thanks Jeff, I hope you enjoy this! |
