So, what is happening here? I don't know, and that is why I have posted this picture. It is strange.

Who goes to the trouble of ink stamping an insulator, then doodles over the stamp to obliterate the marking. The manufacturer is AFE of Uruguay, and you can make out the part of the marking that reads Ind. Uru.

These insulators are the same [almost] as the FAPA's manufactured in Argentina. They are big, and clunky heavy, and attractive in a way that would only appeal to a porcelain collector. Perhaps an Argentinian working on the Uruguay production line, "got in a flapa because they didn't use FAPA"

I have never seen a blot-out on porcelain.

Always thought of porcelain as a "get it right or live with it" type product.

Do you have any weird porcelains or unexpected, unexplainable markings on a porcelain insulator. We would love to see a picture of it, and if you can, please tell me what has happened here.
