Here are 280 old power insulators that I recently acquired free. It all started when I was up on the Washington state coast visiting my friend Lyle. I had been helping him move with my van. When I was ready to head back to Oregon he remarked that the "Junk Shop" (actual name!) on the way back about 20 min. from his place, was having a giant yard sale. I stopped in to take a look since I knew the place had some insulators seen in a past visit years back. I walked down the driveway, the place is below the highway and close to the Willapa Bay shore. I looked around and met the lady in charge. It turned out the the original lady owner passed away. This gal and her husband were new owners and selling everything and turning it into a bait and tackle shop. Good location for that! As I looked over the driveway embankment I saw about 40 smaller size insulators in the dirt. Excuse the fog in these photos, we are at the coast! To find out what happened, click NEXT! |
