The human eye does a better job of capturing the intensity of the colors as the sun comes up through the window. Hopefully you can get a little bit of it here.

Even though they're hard to see at night with just the room lighting, I will never regret building the shelf in a window to allow the glass to be lit up by the natural sunlight!
