This is a dark ruby red insulator. In sunlight it passes light pretty well. In a back lit case you will get some color, but not as much. The photo is in lower level light so you don't see the color as much.

This is not the ruby red "glower" color that was included in the ten limited edition sets that contained 9 pieces. Those are all gone.
