This selection of undamaged commons all came from the same pole line and within a mile of each other. The line ran/runs parallel between ex-Erie and ex-B&O rail grades in western New York and made for a fun afternoon of birthday hunting for my wife and I (aside from the kamikaze mosquitos and whatever plant I came into contact with that gave me an allergic reaction). The hives are all Brookfield "B"s and the 102 has uncentered "OOK" ghost embossing above "BROOKFIELD" on the skirt. Even the Hemi blue 42's earned a place on a shelf due to the rich deep color (see here for a side by side with another Hemi-blue 42 [id=287934816] ).
