If you've seen the rare glass T-Bar insulators from Spain [id=227730534] then you will recognize this porcelain example. Not sure which are older- the glass or the porcelain. But I do know who made this special piece because it has the marking from Manufacturas Ceramicas, S.A. who made insulators in Barcelona. I have proof they made insulators as early as 1903 (and maybe earlier!). The tiny crude "arms" look like they were glaze welded on. Measures 5 cm x 7 cm. Looks mint to me with very minor pinhole evidence of usage. First email gets this special insulator with price slashed to only $75 plus postage. I'm only aware of 2-3 of these and this is the only marked example known! Thanks! |
