KARHULA HEL-2 Insulator from Finland

Same insulator, different angle. Mostll "natural" lighting, by means of sunlight entering through a skylight, lightly cloudy conditions, shortly before a strong thunderstorm hit. The glass is clear, and not as "straw" as it appears in this photo.

I don't recall seeing any of these posted on ICON previously, so here is a nice glass insulator from Finland. It arrived with the rusted iron hook firmly cemented in, I hacksawed it off as "flush" with the base as was safe, and started manually chipping away at the "portland cement" holding the pin very firmly in place.

This insulator has very clear, bold embossing, KARHULA HEL-2 on the front skirt, and no other markings.
