A while back, a few ICONers were chatting about how old-iron ran on Pepsi / Coke bottles. Seeing as I was changing my front tires at the time, it was not a big effort to see how insulators would stand up. These 4 insulators are CD 154 Dominion 42s with round drip points. The tractor is a David Brown 880 with a gross weight of about 4400 lbs with-out the loader. For those who know a bit about hydraulics, this is a single acting loader, so the bucket is just resting on the ground, not supporting the tractor. I had it running on the insulators as shown. I was impressed with the pressure the insulator took, and really wondered what would happen when I started the tractor. It's all good.
