Black Trumpets (craterellus fallax)

These Black Trumpet mushrooms are the Chanterelles' much tastier cousins. Much less common, and fairly hard to find, as their black and very dark brown coloration makes them hard to spot, unlike the flaming yellow-orange Chanterelles, which seemingly shout out "pick me!!!" As did the few additional chants' to the right ;-)

These are located alongside my driveway, so it's just a matter of a short stroll to go pickin'
